Oct. 9th, 2006 11:50 amHope that's spelled right.... anyhoo, my weekend of excitement and adventure has run it's course. I'm due into work here in a few hours, I'm drying off from a shower and damn, if I didn't have an awesome time.
Highlights:
~ Seeing all of my aunts and uncles at my Dad's wedding. Srsly. My Uncle Danny came up from Tuscaloosa, Aunt Patti flew in from D.C., Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jow came down from their respecive parts from Atlanta and it was amazing. They finally have my e-mail address, so hopefully I won't be so out of contact with that side of the family now.
~ Wedding. OMG hippie weddings rock. So much food, x_x I wish I had gotten to hang with my dad a bit more, but I met TONS of new people (and even one that lives in Decatur!) and was really proud of myself that the crowds didn't cow me. Of course, this was probably because of the freakin' huge piece of hemetite Lynnie gave me to hold onto, but I say waking up at 10am and not running away until 11pm is DAMNED impressive for me. Also got to hang out with Blythe. He was a kid at the daycare Lynnie ran back when Laura and I were ickle, so we've know each other for years, but it was cool to see him again. We played Cat's Cradle, ^_^
~ Camping. Chris has been planning on camping for a while, and last night I called to check to see if it was still on for last night and it was. Hence the lol camping post. Drove up to the top of the mountain, hung out around a campfire til all hours and drove back down this morning. Crhis si still up there, I'm debating whether to go back tonight or not, and just yeah.... random adventure get!
~ Goggles.
Short recap of the weekend, I know, but I've been busy, x-x There are pictures, I just gotta wait for Dad to send 'em to me (and for me to get them developed). Now I need to think of something for lunch/dinner and get to cookin'. I've got work in a few hours, XP
