Low can night
Jul. 12th, 2012 01:47 amToday was a low-can kindof day. In retrospect, I have actually ticked off quite a few things on my over-arcing To Do list, but I just felt like scum for a good majority while doing it.
Turns out my bed frame actually fits in the little nook I carved out for myself in my half of the room, which means YAY STORAGE. Holy balls will this ever help out my "Where Do I Put Shit"-situation I've been stressing out over lately. Also got my memory foam matress-topper put back on the bed (with fresh sheets and a shower to celebrate), so hopefully I will not wake up tomorrow sounding like a popcorn maker.
....'s about all I managed to accomplish. I mean, I got some tiny stuff settled and put away, as well as the glass door put back on theentertainment center Pokémon Tower. Gonna hafta rethink how I display some of my pokés though, because soon I will have a Freyja over here and let's just leave it as the cat goes where the cat goes, and I can only mitigate what she will knock over.
Still am searching for book-storing solutions, still need to figure out if I have room for a slim bookcase or two (I live near an Ikea now. This does not bode well for my savings stock), still need to attack the artspace and put it back together properly..... but a lot of things got settled in today.
Can't really ask for much more than that right now.
On a sidenote, I cannot decide if I am pissed off more with iTunes or my massive music collection. We had a brownout last night that threw Gem into a tizzy and when I tried to reload iTunes after restarting her, iTunes just..... took forever loading my music. I then get greeted with the message, "iTunes couldn't pull the most recent library. We've labeled it [Damaged] and pulled the Library from three months ago. Have fun resorting through all the music you've downloaded since then. Oh, and also we deleted all your playlists. Good luck forcing your iPod to resync, 8D"
.....fucking hell, y'know? Guh. I mean, I still have MOST of my music where it's at, and it's all still in iTunes weird-as-hell cataloging system, but I just... GAH. I can't just one-click, "Reload old Library" and NOT spend a few hours reintroducing my music to iTunes. And don't even get me started on my playlists. I've lost all my DJ sets AGAIN thanks to this.
Buh. Faulty system. Reason number 1025 why I love Winamp over iTunes and wish to hell there was a Mac port of Winamp. I would download that shit in a heartbeat. I'd even pay real Earth Dollars for it. Just. I want to stop using iTunes. This shit is starting to seriously mess with my zen.
